I refer at this time to two websites, with startlingly similar stories. They are roleplaying boards based off of the Dragonriders of Pern.
Selenitas Weyr came first. The basic story is that there's three weyrs at war, two in the north, one in the south, and the southern one is led by a brand new Weyrwoman after the old Weyrwoman left, and they just now got hauled into a war. One of their queen dragons was "white gold" with "goldenrod" accents, and they had a plot where a queenrider came from the north escaping the wars. There is a dragon named Jessereth and a light tower hold.
Iayla Weyr came second, and has a very, very similar story. Two weyrs in the north at war, a southern weyr being hauled into it recently. There is also a light tower hold and their senior queen is "white gold" with "goldenrod" accents. And now they have a plot with a queenrider from the north showing up to escape the wars. One of their dragons is Jesserith. And one of their members is using a dragon description written by a Selenitas member, VERBATIM, with no credit.
Ironically, when accused of plagiarism, the girl in question decided to claim she wasn't actually plagiarizing anything. But her novel was accused of the very same thing. What a fascinating coincidence, don't you think?
I'm just blowing steam here, because I'm pissed that that little bitch posted it on her dA journal when everyone else kept it private. And I hope InvisionFree will respond to the complaints about their website. They stole images and there was complaints about that, too.
